Heathfield School

Welcome

The Federation of Heathfield and St Francis Schools

Welcome to our School

It is a pleasure and privilege to welcome you to our website. Heathfield is a special school for pupils aged between 3 and 11 who have a wide range of moderate or severe learning difficulties. Many of our pupils have additional or associated difficulties such as autism, speech and language difficulties and social and emotional needs. All of our pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The most recent OFSTED inspection (October 2022) rated the school Good across all indicators. We are delighted to be federated with St Francis School, who are situated next door to us.

We are a forward thinking and happy community where all pupils and staff are respected for their unique contributions. Our vision and values statements reflect our ambition and commitment to fully prepare our pupils for a successful transition to the next stage of their learning. Our highly motivated staff team strive to offer the highest quality provision to ensure we meet the needs of our children and families.

A personalised and caring approach to learning is at the heart of what we offer at Heathfield and we have the highest expectations of every pupil. Working in partnership with families and external professionals any barriers to learning are identified and strategies to manage and overcome them are put in place.

We hope very much that you enjoy looking though our website. To find out more please do arrange to visit us. The staff and pupils will be delighted to show you our school.
